Edmond V. Pinto age 96, of Glen Hill Road, Danbury died on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Pope John Paul II Health care center. Mr. Pinto was born on May 5, 1908 son of the late Giovanni and Maria (Litizia) Pinto in New York City. On January 10, 1931 he married his childhood sweetheart Derna DeFabiis at St. Benedict's Church in Bronx, New York.
Edmond worked for 43 years for the New York Central Railroad as a Dynamo Man and supplied power to the 3rd rail for the electrical trains. Upon his retirement he enjoyed spending his day with his lovely wife and family. Mr. Pinto was always known for his great sense of humor and outlook on life.
Besides his loving wife Derna, Edmond will be sadly missed by his two sons: Andrew and his wife Carole of Peekskill, NY and Robert Pinto of Rocky Point, North Carolina. Five Grandchildren: Michael, Kenneth, John, Doris Anne, and Christopher Pinto along with several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Besides his parents Mr. Pinto is preceded in death by his brother John Pinto of Briarcliff Manor, NY. Funeral Information
A Parish Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday with Rev. Fr. John Pikulski of St. Joseph's Church in Danbury at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, CT. Cremation and Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, on Saturday from the hours of 2:00PM - 5:00PM. Donations Information
