Obituary of Anastasia J. Pastor

Anastasia J. Pastor March 08, 1919 - January 10, 2005 Anastasia J. "Stacy" Pastor, 85, of Phyllis Lane, Newtown, wife of the late Joseph Pastor, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, January 10th after a brief illness. She was born in Passaic, NJ on March 8, 1919, daughter of the late John and Severina (DeSandre) LoBiondo. She was a graduate of Garfield High School in New Jersey. Stacy and her husband made their home in Rochelle Park, NJ where she was active in Sacred Heart Church, serving as president of their Rosary Society and the Schools Mother's Guild, where her children attended school. She worked for Celentano Law Firm as a Legal Secretary in Clifton, NJ. for seventeen years. Upon making the family home in Belle Mead, NJ., she enjoyed her position as Secretary to the Director of Housing for Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ. In the early 1970's the family made their home in Connecticut. Stacy worked for Grolier's as a Customer Service Representative for more than 12 years. Prior to her retirement she worked at the Information Desk at Danbury Hospital for ten years. She was an active person who enjoyed membership at the Newtown and Danbury Senior Centers, the Widow/Widowers Group of Danbury, the Sweet Adeline's Singing Group, and was a parishioner at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Stacy was a loving and devoted mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook, and seamstress. She especially loved to attend and work Craft Shows with her daughter, Patty. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Patricia Ellul and her husband, Joseph of Danbury; her son, Edward Pastor and his wife, Barbra of Marlboro, MA.; her four grandchildren, Jessica Ellul, Victor Ellul and his fiancé, Maka Bakhbava, Andrew and Alison Pastor. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Duke of Central Islip, NY, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her granddog, Molly. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 14th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Cremation and interment in St. Peter Cemetery will be private. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Thursday, January 13th between the hours of 5 and 8:00pm.
