Peter Paul Nelson
July 14, 1944 - November 10, 2004
Peter Paul Nelson, age 60 of Ox Drive, Brookfield, Connecticut died on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Danbury Hospital. Mr. Nelson was born on July 14, 1944 son of the late Francis and Hilda (Schofield) Nelson in Bronx, New York. After his early years of education he attended Technical College. On June 8, 1974 Peter married Shelia McGivney. They spent 30 years of loving marriage together raising their two daughters.
Mr. Nelson began his career working at Rea Express and then working at Kennecotte Copper Corporation in New York. He later was employed with General Electric Corporation in New York before working for 25 years with Union Carbide as a Transportation International Rates Specialist. Upon retirement he then worked for Odyssey Logistic and Technology.
Peter enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters. In his spare time Peter enjoyed playing golf and fishing and working on computers. He loved animals (especially cats) and adopted many or they just adopted him. Peter had wonderful sense of humor and love of life, he was extremely generous and willing to serve others at anytime.
Besides his loving wife Shelia, Peter will be greatly missed by his two daughters: Christine Nelson of Boston, MA and Barbara Nelson of Brookfield, CT. One Nephew Joseph Baechelen of New York; One God-Child: John Vincent Sopach of New York and his sister and brother-in-law: Maureen and Walter Baechelen of New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Brookfield at 10:00AM on Monday, November 15, 2004 with Rev. Fr. Samuel V. Scott Officiating.
Friends may call on the family at The Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT on Sunday, November 14, 2004 from the hours of 2:00PM - 4:00PM and again from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Donations Information
