Douglas Nebinger June 12, 1952 - May 15, 2011 Douglas Nebinger Douglas Nebinger, 58, of Brookfield, devoted husband of Diane (Fleming) Nebinger, died at his home on Sunday, May 15th. He was born in Detroit, MI, on June 12, 1952, son of Edward Nebinger and the late Georgene (Conahan) Nebinger. He received his early education in Koblenz, Germany, was a graduate of Ridgefield High School, class of 1970, and also graduated from the University of California, Irvine, CA. Doug was the President of Forecast International Inc. where he worked for the past 32 years. Doug will be remembered for his kind, generous nature, who put others before himself. His advice and guidance was sought by family and friends who looked to him as a mentor, he was the "Go to Guy." His many interests included sailing, motorcycle racing, traveling, cooking, wine, and was an avid reader. He loved to entertain, especially the annual Christmas Party he and Diane would host together. He had an adventurous spirit and zest for life. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. In addition to his beloved wife of 20 years, Diane; his father, Edward and his wife, Margaret; he will be sadly missed by his two cherished daughters, Bethany Pokress and her husband, Blake of Washington, DC, and Bryn Spice Nebinger of Orange Park, FL; his brother, Curtis "Monty" Nebinger and his wife, Darlene of Oxford; and his three sisters, Holly Murphy and her husband, Shaun of Simsbury, Bonnie Mengel and her husband, Ted of Stone Mtn., GA, and Fawn Nebinger of Madison. He is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and many beloved in-laws, extended family members and friends. Funeral Information A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, May 22nd at 4:30pm, all are welcome. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00pm. Donations Information Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to Lighthouse for the Blind, or to the Connecticut Food Bank.
