Obituary of John K Murphy

John K Murphy February 28, 1953 - July 05, 2004 John K. Murphy of Fulton Drive, New Fairfield, husband of Deborah Murphy, died on Monday, July 5th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in the Bronx, NY., on February 28, 1953, son of the late John F. and Dorothy Murphy. John was a self employed painter. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Christopher Murphy of Mesa, AZ, and Cpl. Dennis Murphy, USMC, of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Murphy and his wife, Ellen of New Fairfield; his three sisters, Janet Schork and her husband, William of Brookfield, Carol Murphy of New Fairfield, and Anna Cannizzaro and her husband, Joseph of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Evelyn Murphy. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10th, 1:30pm at St. Edward Church in New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 9th between the hours of 3 - 5 and 7 - 9pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
