Antoinette "Toni" McCann

Antoinette "Toni" (Catanzaro) McCann, 83, of High Street Extension, Danbury, wife of the late Joseph W. McCann, died at her home on Monday, November 1st. She was born in Carbondale, PA. on June 23, 1921, daughter of the late Aurelio and Anna (DeAntonio) Catanzaro.
Toni was a Registered Nurse and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital in Carbondale, PA. in 1939. She worked for both Glen Hill and Mediplex in Danbury. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. She enjoyed opera, reading, and crossword puzzles.
A loving and devoted mother, she will be sadly missed by her son, Joe McCann and his wife, JoAnn of Danbury; her daughters, Mary Alice Anderson and her husband, John of Danbury, Nancy Morrisroe and her husband Peter of New Milford, Ellen Edwards and her husband, Mark of Newtown. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; her sister, Lena Mendecino of PA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 4th at St. Gregory the Great Church, at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday, November 3rd between the hours of 4 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
