Anthony Manochi
August 21, 1926 - December 16, 2010
Anthony "Tony" Manochi, 84, of Danbury, beloved husband of Ena (Moro) Manochi, died on Thursday, December 16th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Danbury on August 21, 1926, son of the late Augustino and Virginia (Fava) Manochi. He was a lifelong member of the Danbury Community and was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School.
Tony worked for many years at Danbury City Hall in the Assessors Office. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy and as a Sea Bee.
He was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, and a member of the Americo Vespucci Lodge. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Europe, and the Scandinavian Countries. His hobbies included bowling, playing poker, and visiting casinos. He was an avid golfer at Richter Park and during winters in Fort Myers, Florida. Tony loved to dance and cut a fine figure on many dance floors.
In addition to his devoted wife of 55 years, Ena, he will be sadly missed by his son, Glenn Manochi and his wife, Peggy of Haddonfield, NJ; his daughter, Linda Zenobia and her husband, Michael of Olivebridge, NY; and his two granddaughters, Dana and Haley Manochi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 20th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Donations Information
