David Edward Maclay
November 26, 2003 - July 21, 2011
David Edward Maclay, born November 26, 2003, was granted his angel wings on Thursday, July 21st. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that David had touched in many ways, throughout his short, yet memorable, life.
Although David's life would seem short to many, the quality of his existence far exceeded quantity. His immediate smile and directness could melt the hearts of those around him. He was a remarkably special little boy.
David leaves behind his parents, Kelley Jarvis and Dan Maclay of New Milford; his grandmother Anne Maclay of Hyde Park, NY; his uncles, Matthew Maclay, Michael Maclay and his wife Maureen of Hyde Park, NY; his aunts Cindy Sliech and her husband Michael of Danbury, Lynn Ferrier and her husband David of New Milford, Cathy Robertson and husband Logan of Queensbury, NY and Nancy Jarvis of Bethel as well as several cousins.
In addition, David leaves behind many wonderful caregivers, including Cindy and Sean Gallagher, and their children, Connor, Morgan and Nolan; Bob Murphy and Robert Shagon. All of his friends and teachers at Hill and Plain School in New Milford will dearly miss him. All of these special people, and many others, provided David with love and dignity in his life and also in his death.
The family would like to acknowledge the dedication and compassion shown to David and his family by the doctors, nurses and caregivers of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Funeral Information
