Obituary of Josephine Mary Kulowiec

Josephine Kulowiec January 05, 1927 - March 02, 2014 Josephine M. Kulowiec of Bridgewater and Redding died on March 2, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband Edmund J. Kulowiec. Mrs. Kulowiec was born in Stamford, CT on January 5, 1927, the daughter of John and Stanislawa Poltrack. She attended Stamford schools and Merritt Business School. She served as Clerk of the Connecticut Probate Courts of Redding and Brookfield for twenty years. Mrs. Kulowiec was a member of the Executive Committee and Secretary of the Redding Historical Society for over twenty years. She was also a member of the Women's Guild of St. Patrick Church in Redding. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kulowiec is survived by her beloved children: her son John E. Kulowiec, veteran USN, his wife Connie of Garner, NC; their son Nacoma S. Kulowiec, USAF Res., his wife and children; their son Daniel W. Kulowiec, USMC, his wife Megan and their daughter Sabina Marie; their son Ben Gerow Army NG. Her son Lawrence A. Kulowiec, his wife Susan of Redding, CT and their children James C. and Natalie S. Kulowiec. Her daughter Stephanie A. Kulowiec of Newtown, CT and her step-children Robert Watson of New Milford, CT, Valerie Watson of Waterbury, CT and Julie Varisco of King George, VA. Mrs. Kulowiec was pre deceased by her beloved daughter Kristine S. Kulowiec. Funeral Information Funeral arrangements by the Brookfield Funeral Home of Brookfield CT. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 163 Whisconier Rd, Brookfield, CT on March 29, 2014 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Umpawaug Cemetery in Redding immediately following. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regional Hospice of Western CT, St. Joseph's Church of Brookfield CT and Bridgewater Fire Department.
