Edward L. Visconti August 23, 1915 - September 15, 2004 Edward L. Visconti, 89, of Housman Street, Danbury, devoted husband of Dorothy (Mockovak) Visconti, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, September 15th. He was born in Danbury on August 23, 1915, son of the late Lawrence and Martha Visconti. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1933, and was a lifetime member of the community. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army Medical Corp, 963rd Medical Detachment, 43rd Division. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Visconti retired from BJ Dolan in Bethel, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the VFW. He enjoyed camping and traveling. In addition to his cherished wife of 67 years, Dorothy, he is survived by his two sons, Robert Visconti of North Carolina, Edward Visconti and his wife, Carol, of Vermont; and his daughter, Linda Clemens of Wautoma, WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses, Anthony and Dawn Freeman, Dean and Tina Belisle, LynnAnne and Timothy Visconti, Richard and Jody Visconti, Melissa and Frank Crane, Cynthia and Robert Visconti, Jr.; his four great grandchildren, Nicole Hoffman, Montgomery Ann Crane, Sean Branch, and Judah Belisle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three granddaughters, Rebecca Lynn Visconti, Tammy Anne Visconti, and Laura Lynn Belisle. Funeral Information Funeral Services and burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery will be private. Reverend Hans-Fredrik Gustafson of St. Paul Lutheran Church, is officiating. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
