Obituary of Carol A. Ronan
Carol A. Ronan, 79, of Bridgewater, cherished wife of Gerald J. Ronan, died peacefully at her home, in the presence of her family, on Saturday, February 24, 2018. She was born in Mount Vernon, New York on December 5, 1938, daughter of the late Robert and Alma (Gorden) Nigro. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield.
Prior to moving to Bridgewater she and her family made their home in Ardsley, NY. She worked for many years as a nurse for Andrus Memorial Home.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to her faith and her family. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Bridgewater Fair.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, Gerald, she will be sadly missed by her five children, Gerald Ronan and his wife, Tara, LeeAnn O'Donnell and her husband, Richard, Christy Meyer and her husband, Thomas, Rory Ronan and his wife, Jane, and Stephen Ronan and his wife, Christine; her sixteen grandchildren, Kelli, Kasey, Gerald, Ashlee, Emily, Richard, Michelle, Paul, Matthew, TJ, Rebecca, Caitlin, Brittany, Rory, Ashley and Stephen; and her three great grandchildren, Patrick, Jeffrey and Brady.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 27th at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield.
Those who would like to join the family in prayer of the Rosary may gather at the church at 10:00am. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol's memory may be made to Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 30 Milestone Road, Danbury CT 06810.
