Obituary of Margareta "Rita" Dobler

Brookfield - Mrs. Margareta “Rita” (Schell) Dobler, age 81, of Brookfield, died, Friday December 8, 2017 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Alfred Dobler.

Mrs. Dobler was born on January 23,1936 in Germany, daughter of the late Baptist and Margarete (Feulner) Schell. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and reading and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Alfred, she is survived by her daughter, Diane Dobler and her husband Christopher Barry of Glen Cove, New York; her two sons: Michael Dobler and his wife Andrea Rasmussen of Boston, MA, and Alfred M. Dobler and his wife Ilene of Darien; five grandchildren, Samantha, Casey, and Alex Barry,and Rebecca and Amanda Dobler, and one brother: Georg Schell of Germany. She was predeceased by four brothers: Otto, Josef, Fritz and Hermann Schell and a sister: Betty Lepej.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 12 ,2017 from 4 to 6 p.m.  at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the calling hours at 6 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the  family.
