Obituary of Charles R. Grenier
Charles R. Grenier, 51, of Gaylordsville, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 10th at his home. He was born in Danbury on October 9, 1966, son of the late George and Edith (Wells) Grenier. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. Charlie worked as an HVAC Technician for Jennings Oil for many years.
Charlie was known by all as a selfless and caring man, time and time again putting the needs of others in front of his own, never looking for recognition, only to help others. Those who were lucky enough to know Charlie know that he loved his job, and most of all his family. He lived for his children, and whether it was staying up to watch the Cowboys game, or meeting for a 7:30 am shopping trip, Charlie always had a smile on his face and was happiest when he was with his kids. Often a jokester, his carefree attitude and goofy ways will be missed by all. Remembering his shenanigans will certainly help keep his spirit alive.
He will be sadly missed by his three cherished children, Ashley L. Hurlburt and her husband, Jesse, Kelsey, and Ryan; his wife and best friend, Judie (Weis) Grenier; his brothers, Mark and his wife, Bonnie, John and his wife, Robin, Paul and his wife, Denise; his sisters, Cindy Grenier, Donna Coelho and her husband, Al, Paulette Valluzzo and her husband, Nick, and Krista Grenier. He is also survived by his in-laws, Steven Weis and Vicki Poulin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street Danbury, on Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please keep Charlie's giving spirit alive by making a donation to The Boys and Girls Club of America. His family would like to continue helping those who need it.
