John’s life began on February 15, 1942, in Danbury, son of the late George and Elizabeth (Saul) Krebs. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1959, then from Danbury State College (now Western CT State Univ.) in 1964 with a degree in teaching.
Mr. Krebs was a well-known and well-respected schoolteacher in Danbury for over 35 years – teaching at Morris Street Elementary School, then at Broadview Junior High School. John was also very involved in activities in his community, including coaching Little League baseball and football, and participated in various recreation activities.
