Obituary of Doris Hachenberg
Doris Hachenberg, 94, previously of Brookfield, wife of the late Arthur Hachenberg, Sr., died peacefully at Harborside Glen Hill in Danbury, on Sunday, February 26th. She was born in Bronx, NY on November 2, 1922, daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle Wiseman. She was a past parishioner of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield.
Doris worked for many years at Read’s Department Store in the china department. She also enjoyed volunteering and later working as a nurse assistant at Danbury Hospital. Her hobbies included bowling and playing bingo.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Art Hackenberg, Jr. and his wife, MaryBeth of Danbury, and Gary Hackenberg of Brookfield; her five grandchildren, Jennifer Madore (Rob), Heather Powers (Darren), Nicole Pullen (Dan), Tara Hachenberg (Amy Pierpont), and Aaron Hachenberg; her eleven great grandchildren, Brittany, Haley, Kiley, Madison, Julia, Sophia, Gavin, Cole, Carter, Christian and Cru.
Doris was predeceased by her son, Carl “Dean” Hachenberg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 6th at 11:00 am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Interment in Central Cemetery will follow.
There are no calling hours.
