Obituary of Matthew Allen Rogers

Matthew Allen Rogers, age 23, of Danbury died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Matthew was born in Danbury on September 26, 1993, the son of Matthew Ricci and Stacy Rogers. He was raised in Danbury and enjoyed outdoor sports such as fishing, hunting, and snow boarding. Matthew was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his sisters; Bella and Cassandra; his aunt: Christine (Rogers) Santopietro; 2 cousins: Trevor and Zachary: maternal grandparents: Hoyt Rogers, Linda Anilosky and her husband, James and Nick Carbone; and paternal grandfather: Fred Ricci. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother: Donna Ricci. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 until the time of the service at 7:30. Cremation will be at the direction of the family.
