Obituary of Rene Ivan Cyr

Rene Cyr age 84, of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Renette (Walker) Cyr. He was born on January 15, 1932 in Saint Andre, New Brunswick, Canada, a son of the late Walter and Angele (Pelletier) Cyr. He was a talented all-around carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union #210, Hamden. Rene was a devout parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Renette, he is survived by a son: Michael Cyr and his wife, Jody of New Milford; 3 brothers: Nelson, Charles, and Walter Cyr and a sister: Isabelle Carpenter all of New Brunswick, CA; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. There are no calling hours; a Private Funeral Service will be held in the spring.
