Richard J. Biscow, 75, of Brookfield, cherished husband of Karen (Collier) Biscow, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, October 11th. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY on March 19, 1941, son of the late Elgin and Helen (Gizang) Biscow. He was a graduate of AB Davis High School in Mount Vernon, NY and RCA Institute of Technology.
Dick was a Veteran of the United States Air National Guard, serving for many years at Westchester County Airport. Upon retirement as a Director of Distribution from Savin Corp in Valhalla, NY, he worked for several years at Home Depot in Danbury. He had enjoyed active membership in the New Fairfield Jaycees. Most importantly, Dick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his life.
In addition to his loving wife of 50 years, Karen, he will be sadly missed by his two children, Adam Charles Biscow and his wife, Jennifer of Bethel, and Nancy Sue Morgan and her husband, Martin of New Fairfield; his seven grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Biscow, Bridget, John, Margaret, Kate, and Brady Morgan; niece, Rachel Callahan and nephews Jared Collier, Stephen and Michael Subit; and his sister, Marlene Subit. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mildred Collier, brother-in-law Peter and sister-in-law Ben (Carol) Collier.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, October 16th between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00pm.
A prayer service will begin at 3:00pm with Rabbi Stefan Tiwy, of the United Jewish Center, officiating.
