Obituary
Obituary of Patrick Thomas Walsh
Patrick T. Walsh, 55, of New Milford, died peacefully at New Milford Hospital on Monday, September 26th, surrounded by his family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 16, 1961, son of the late Thomas P. and Rosemary (Hassett) Walsh. He was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, working for many area restaurants in his early career.
Pat owned and operated Walsh Catering in Danbury. He shared his love and talent for cooking with his daughters, Claire and Megan, who worked alongside him for the last twenty years.
A practical joker at heart, Pat loved to make others laugh. Memories of his great sense of humor, hiding plastic rats, and scary masks will continue to make his family smile.
His happiest times were those spent at home with a nice glass of wine, an outdoor fire, and the people he loved around him.
He will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Claire Walsh (Aaron Chriss), Megan Walsh, and Ruari Duffy-Walsh; his five grandchildren, Adam, Sarah, Colin, Fallon, and Ryan; his brothers, Michael and Tom (Renee); and sisters, Kathleen Casano (John), Mary Kirwan (Bob), Maureen Montes (David), and Frances Koptiuch (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence, and sister, Eileen Myers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1st, at 11:00am, at St. Lawrence O’Toole, 31 Prospect St, Brewster, NY 10509. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, September 30th between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ann’s Place, 80 Saw Mill Rd., Danbury, CT 06810 or visit www.annsplace.org.
