Edyce lived 89 incredible years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Connecticut State Teachers College and her Master’s degree from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. She taught school for more than 40 years, first in Leonia, NJ, while briefly living in New York City and then to illiterate soldiers at Fort Gordon, GA while her husband was serving in Korea.
