Obituary of Gerald A. Hebert

Gerald A. "Jerry" Hebert, 68, of Danbury, loving husband of the late Marylou (Fox) Hebert, died peacefully on Friday, April 22nd. He was born in Woonsocket, RI on August 14, 1947, son of the late Gerald and Yolanda (Lemme) Hebert. He was a graduate of Danbury High School and Western Connecticut State University. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving with the United States Navy. Jerry owned and operated Hebert Limousine in Danbury for many years and was most recently employed by the Danbury Parking Authority. A cherished father and grandfather, Jerry's family was the most important part of his life. He will be remembered by many for his kindness and great sense of humor. Jerry was blessed by 36 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Marylou. His tender daily care for her during her illness was a beautiful expression of his love and devotion to her. His family takes comfort in knowing they are together again. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Aly Irizarry and her husband, Marcus of Danbury, Suzanne Wigglesworth and her husband, Jason of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Christian and Alanna Irizarry and Alex Wigglesworth; his brother, Steve Hebert and his wife, Maureen of NY; his sisters, Linda DeRosa and her husband, Dan and Nancy Hebert, all of Florida. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Fox of Danbury, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew, Dan DeRosa. Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday, April 27th at 6:30pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
